Jennifer Murphy

As a painter, I strive to capture the energy and vibrancy in my own instinctive application of color on canvas. I reach for a sense of harmony when designing my imagery. Painting, for me, is composing emotions decoratively. I share my sensations with paint so that I may speak my story.

I was nearly born with a paintbrush in hand as the daughter of an artist, Norma Murphy. Roaming the Watauga countryside offered many spirited inspirations growing up. To me, colors are smiles, and brushstrokes with paint feel like little secrets filled with love and laughter… much like dancing and singing!
