Our Board of Directors
Terms: Members of our Board of Directors commit to serve for a minimum of three years. They may serve two consecutive terms. Members must cycle out for at least one year before rejoining for a new term.
Important Job! The board of directors safeguards the mission of the organization by providing governance, financial oversight, and strategic leadership, while ensuring accountability to donors, the community, and the law. Board members provide oversight, set direction, and ensure the organization is accountable to the public it serves.
A “working” Board. Members contribute hands-on time and skills to support programs, fundraising, outreach, or administrative tasks. This model allows the organization to function efficiently with a small (but mighty) staff. Board members will be expected to attend monthly meetings, but engagement through events and committee work or administrative support may be needed outside those hours.
”It takes a village!” While our mission supports the arts, we are building a board that reflects the full spectrum of skills needed to run a thriving nonprofit. We welcome professionals in all fields—business, education, health, legal, tech, fundraising, and beyond—who want to make a meaningful impact through the arts.
Meeting Schedule
Our Board of Directors meets on the 4th Monday of each month from 5:30–7:00 PM. We value everyone’s time and keep meetings on schedule—going over only when it’s planned in advance for a specific purpose.
Meeting Style
Our meetings are relaxed but focused. We share food (and usually a bottle of wine 🍷), and members are encouraged to join in person, but may join via Zoom if they’re unable to attend in person. We value diverse perspectives and encourage open, honest dialogue. Board members approach conversations with respect, curiosity, and a shared commitment to our mission and vision.
Mission/Vision Statement
