You can view artist submissions via this shared Google Drive Folder. Within the master folder, you will find folders for each artist, each containing their application and submitted pieces. The names of the submitted pieces are the file names.

You were emailed a spreadsheet to submit your ratings through. Please email admin@watauga-arts.org if you are having trouble locating this spreadsheet!

Once you’ve rated all pieces by the deadline, you’re all set! Thank you so much for participating as a juror. Your insight is vital to our gallery operations.

You will be rating every piece submitted. You can view all current applications on the Google Drive shared to your email. If you have personally submitted a piece to the gallery for consideration, you must recuse yourself from rating your own application, but are welcome to rate all other applications. 

Below is the criteria you should be grading off of: 

Originality: How original is the concept or idea behind the work?

Composition: Is the composition visually balanced and engaging?

Theme: How well does the piece fit the exhibition's theme?

You will be rating on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being "Exceptional"

You will need to indicate whether or not you would recommend each piece into the exhibit

The title of each artwork is included in the file name of the photo(s) the artist uploaded in their application.

Please be sure all ratings are submitted by the due date listed above. 

This exhibit invites artists to explore the visual impact and expressive potential of texture. Texture can be achieved through layered paint, built-up surfaces, fibers, mixed media, or any other tactile techniques imaginable. We're looking for work where texture is central to the artistic concept. If submitting a 3-D piece, you will need to detail your display needs in the application form. 

Requirements / Other Info:

• You may submit no more than 3 pieces for consideration in this exhibit.

• Media: All mediums welcome!

• Presentation: Work can be wall-hangable or stand-alone/require a pedestal. If you have unique display needs, you must indicate so in your application. For wall pieces, frames are not required, but they must otherwise be hang-ready.

• Deadline: All works must be submitted for consideration via this form by August 31st, 2026.

• Photographing Artwork: Professional-quality photos are not required for your application; however, images must meet the following guidelines to ensure your work can be accurately reviewed:

  • Use a clean, non-distracting background (white or neutral preferred)

  • Ensure images are sharp and in focus 

  • Use good lighting (avoid images that are too dark, too bright, or have too much glare)

  • Present the artwork centered and straight within the frame

• All WAC exhibits are juried by a diverse panel of local artists, arts professionals, and arts business owners with backgrounds in various mediums.

• You will be notified on September 21, 2026 of your application status.
