Between Who I Am and Who They Want

by Joel Franquiz

“These images are part of my senior final project, which focuses on men’s vulnerability, specifically men of color. Growing up, we’re often taught that men shouldn’t show emotion or be seen crying, as if expressing feelings makes us weak. I want to challenge that idea and show that vulnerability is actually a form of strength.”
