Megan Good

Megan Brendle is a potter based in the mountains of Vilas, NC. She has been creating pottery for the past five years, combining wheel-thrown forms with hand-painted underglaze illustrations inspired by the wildlife of Western North Carolina. Each painting is created by hand, making every piece one of a kind.

The Story Behind The Work

“I like to paint what I see around me and things that interest me. Creating something functional with something I painted lets me combine two of my great loves. I experimented with painting with underglaze about two years into my pottery journey and have been hooked ever since. It’s a time-consuming process, but I like to think of the person that receives each piece and how they get to enjoy the painting while drinking their morning coffee, or eating a meal.”
