Catherine Altice

Catherine Altice is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, drawing, mixed media, wood carving, fiber art, and photography. Her practice is grounded in material exploration and an interest in the relationships between form, movement, and process. Ms. Altice holds an MFA from Vermont State University and the Vermont Studio Center, a BFA from UNC Greensboro, and a BS from Appalachian State University, where she currently serves as Senior Lecturer of Art. Her work has been exhibited throughout the Southeast and recognized with numerous awards and grants. A former gallery owner and dancer, she continues to approach art-making as an evolving, exploratory lifelong practice.
