Your Voice Matters: Artist Surveys

We need your input

Artists, educators, and cultural workers play a critical role in shaping the future of arts education and creative freedom. Right now, two important surveys are open that aim to collect real experiences from the field. This data will directly inform advocacy efforts, funding strategies, and safety resources for artists nationwide.

If you work in the arts or creative sector, your perspective is needed. Each survey takes between 10 and 20 minutes to complete, and your participation can help strengthen the systems that support artists and students alike.

Arts Education Funding Survey

Deadline: January 16

The Arts Education Alliance and NAMM’s SupportMusic Coalition are gathering essential information on how K–12 schools and districts used federal education funds for dance, media arts, music, theatre, and visual arts during the 2024–2025 school year.

We also want to hear from programs that didn’t receive federal support! Your insights on how you funded your work or how federal support could have helped are equally important to equip advocates with the evidence they need to protect and expand opportunities for all students.

National Artist Safety Survey

ARC - Artists at Risk Connection is a global organization that defends artistic freedom and cultural rights as fundamental human rights. ARC protects artists and cultural workers at risk due to their creative expression, often tied to their identities or roles in their communities

With threats to artistic and creative expression increasing in the U.S., ARC is preparing an adaptation of its Safety Guide for Artists and Cultural Workers, a guide that resource that helps artists and cultural workers recognize risks, respond to threats, and safeguard themselves and their work.

To help identify the most urgent challenges ARC has put together a survey that will allow artists and cultural workers share their experiences and create a guide that truly meets the needs of everyone.
