Small Art Fundraiser TONIGHT!
WAC is so excited to bring our annual holiday show to you TONIGHT from 5-7 pm at Betty’s Biscuits! We hope you’ll join us!
We’ve been absolutely thrilled with the response this year. After finishing our tally yesterday, we realized we have over 90 pieces submitted by more than 35 local artists. This turnout has been astounding, and we genuinely love everything that’s been shared with us.
We’re also trying a couple of new things this year. First up: uniform pricing. Every piece will be sold for $30. We introduced this model because we want this event to feel as community-centered and accessible as possible, something that aligns closely with our mission. Our hope is that art supporters can take home a lovely piece (or two, or three!) at a low-barrier price while still supporting local artists and the arts community.
Another change this year is that all proceeds will benefit the Watauga Arts Council and support our ongoing operations. Every dollar helps us continue offering gallery exhibits, receptions, art classes, community groups, public art installations, and so much more. Truly, we couldn’t do this without you!
And if you can’t make it tonight but still want to support, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Starting Tuesday, December 9th, we’ll be listing any unsold pieces from the initial fundraiser on our website through a temporary online shop. It’s a second chance to purchase locally made artwork and uplift the arts community, all at the same time.
See you there!
