Paint a Mini Canvas With Us at SouthEnd Brewing on Nov. 20th!
Looking for a creative night out that supports the arts right here in the High Country? Join the Watauga Arts Council for an evening of fun, community, and creativity at SouthEnd Brewing on November 20th starting at 5:30 PM!
WAC staff and volunteers will offer free 6x6 canvases to anyone who wants to create their own masterpiece to submit to our upcoming fundraiser happening next month. We encourage artists to bring some of their favorite supplies, but we will also have limited supplies available for use.
Why We’re Painting Together
This event is part of our lead-up to the Small Art Fundraiser, one of WAC’s most beloved annual traditions. Each participant creates a 6x6-inch or smaller artwork in any medium and any subject and donates it to support WAC’s mission to sustain and celebrate the arts across the High Country.
This year, the Small Art Fundraiser is being held at Betty’s Biscuits in Downtown Boone (on King Street!) from 6 to 9 pm on Festive First Friday (Friday, December 5th).
During the fundraiser, all small artworks will be available for purchase for $30 each, offering art lovers a chance to collect original works while giving back to the community. Every dollar raised goes directly toward keeping WAC’s programs, exhibits, and art education opportunities thriving.
Any unsold artworks will be featured in a temporary online shop on our website after the event, giving your work a second chance to shine, just in case it doesn’t go the first time around.
We encourage you to grab your friends, order a pint from SouthEnd Brewing, and settle in for a creative evening with us. This is a free event, open to all. Come as you are, just bring your creativity and enthusiasm!
