The 6x6 Fundraiser
Small Art. Big Impact.
Join us for our annual 6x6 Fundraiser: A celebration of creativity, community, and the power of the arts to connect us all. Artists of all ages, mediums, and skill levels are invited to contribute original works that measure exactly 6x6 inches, all sold to raise funds for local arts operations through the Watauga Arts Council.
Event Details
When: Festive First Friday (Friday, December 5th) from 6-9pm
Where: Betty’s Biscuits on King Street (640 W. King Street, Boone NC)
Admission: Free and open to all!
Enjoy an evening filled with art, music, conversation, and community support. Each 6x6 artwork will be sold for $30, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Watauga Arts Council and its mission to uplift our local creative community!
How It Works
Artists create original artwork within 6x6 dimensions using any medium.
Every piece is priced equally at $30.
Every purchase helps sustain WAC’s programs and operations, which support local artists while promoting arts education, advocacy, and accessibility throughout the High Country.
Can’t make the event? No problem!
Unsold pieces from the fundraiser will be available in our online post-event shop at a discounted price, starting Saturday, December 6th. Click the button below on or after that date to view available works!

How to Participate

Register to participate by clicking here or via the “Artist Registration” buttons on this website
You’ll be asked for your contact info, the number of pieces you plan to submit, and whether you’d like to reserve free 6x6 canvases (limit 2 per artist, while supplies last).

We have a limited number of free 6x6 canvases available on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you request them on your registration form, we’ll confirm availability and contact you to schedule pickup at our office.
(We expect most to go by the end of October, so don’t wait!)

Between now and November 20th, create your 6×6 masterpieces in any medium you wish. Just be sure to have it ready for drop off before the deadline!

Bring your finished piece(s) to the Watauga Arts Council office during our regular hours:
Monday thru Thursday, 9 AM to 5 PM
Deadline: November 20thPlease label the back of each piece you are dropping off with the following information: Artist Name, Artwork Title, Artwork Medium
