Scarlett Eversole
Scarlett Eversole is a fourth-year student at Appalachian State University, majoring in studio art and minoring in Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality studies. She draws on different eras of time and pop culture in her work while also highlighting issues facing women and queer people. Her current art style includes musical influences, grunge aesthetic, and an ode to generational street style, whether it’s a nod to the 60’s or Y2K.

“Learning the ways of platinum and palladium developing was an interesting approach to starting my journey of developing, considering its expense and inconvenience. However, working more closely to physically produce the images I've shot has helped my artistic journey progress. Using a process from the 1800s allows me to blur the lines in which time periods I'm trying to capture.”
