Rachel J. Haungs

Rachel J Haungs is a mixed-media artist from Huntersville, North Carolina with a BFA from Appalachian State University. Inspired by the natural world, she works in vivid color, blending the realms of impressionism and expressionism to capture the healing peace of nature. Concurrently, she draws on her lifelong background in music to find escape from the noise of the digital world through creating musical portraits.

A mixed media artist, she primarily works in acrylic, water media, and oil pastel. She is a member of the Mooresville Arts Guild, Guild of Charlotte Artists, and American Women Artists with notable achievements including the Mooresville Arts 12th Annual Winter Juried Exhibition (Juror’s Choice Award - Craggy Pinnacle Colourscape), the Mooresville Arts 47th Annual Spring Fest Judged Fine Art Show (First Place – Lake Junaluska, NC), and AMPED: The Art of Rock & Roll juried show with the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition.
