Ann Wolfe
Since moving to Boone, in 1998, Wolfe has been moved by the great beauty that surrounds us here in the Appalachian Mountains. The vibrant colors, textures, patterns, and local expansive vistas, meadows, running streams, and vegetation have greatly inspired Wolfe’s work. Ann’s aims to depict the traditions, architecture, ways of life, and natural scenic beauty of this very special area we call home.
“The evening 'The Perfect Puddle' was photographed, we had a day of heavy rains, and at dusk the sky turned gorgeous pinks and blues! Due to the heavy rains, all of the trails were flooded, and I captured the amazing reflections of the sky and the awesome texture that the mud created on the left side of the puddle that slid onto the trail.”
