Giving Tuesday is here, a global celebration of generosity, community, and shared purpose. And Watauga Arts Council is so grateful to be part of it.
This year, something wonderful happened: early supporters stepped up and contributed $450 before Giving Tuesday even began! Their generosity brought us right to the doorstep of our first goal… and now we’re asking our community to help us finish strong and build something even bigger.
Our Two Giving Tuesday Goals
We’re keeping things simple, meaningful, and community-driven:
Goal 1: Reach our initial $500 Giving Tuesday goal
We’re only $50 away, thanks to early donors who helped us get a head start. This first goal keeps our essential arts programming moving forward.
Goal 2: Build a $500 Community Match
Once we hit Goal 1, we invite our community to help us raise an additional $500. These funds become a community-built match that meets—and even surpasses—the early support already given.
Together, these two goals bring us to a powerful $1,000 day of impact for the arts in the High Country.

Engage more than 800 artists across our creative community
Secure over $126,000 to bring new public art experiences to the High Country
Facilitate more than $8,000 in art sales at a single event (Buskers Fest!)
