Camp Information: Each day of this half day camp kids between the ages of 7-12 will learn a different fundamental principle of acting. This class will be led by RJ Christian, an actor and composer who grew up in Boone. Throughout the week students will practice a performance and create costumes. On the very last day of camp, parents and guardians should arrive 30 minutes early (at 11:30 am) to watch the performance the students have spent all week working on! This camp runs Monday-Friday and registration is required. RJ Christian
About the Instructor RJ Christian is a 2017 graduate of WHS. If you didn’t see RJ playing his saxophone in Shooting Stars, you might remember him as “Burt” in Mary Poppins, “Donkey” in Shrek, or “Sky” in Guys and Dolls.
He went on to get a bachelors in Vocal Performance: Musical Theatre from NYU in 2021. He currently lives in New York and works as an actor and composer. His most famous composition to date is “Ratatouille” performed by Andre DeShields in RATATOUILLE: THE TIKTOK MUSICAL. Want to attend but not sure if you have the funds? Let us know!
