Support the Arts Council with the gift of your time!

The WCAC has many volunteer opportunities available for willing individuals or groups who would like to help out. Some of the areas in which we need volunteers are:

Front desk assistance: Answering telephones, taking messages, greeting visitors.

Newsletter: Working with a team to fold, stuff, and tape the monthly newsletter (usually done on the 3rd or 4th Thursday of each month).

Ushering: Directing elementary school children safely to their seats for touring performances (you're welcome to remain and enjoy the performance yourself).

Gallery Assistance: Hanging artwork for monthly gallery exhibits.

Special Events: Planning, checking guest lists and collecting money at the door, helping with silent auctions, helping with sending out publicity, etc.

Summer Arts Camp: Assisting instructors with the supervision and direction of children during this ever-popular summer program.   

Docent: Assisting gallery visitors with purchases and questions.

Concerts on the Lawn: Assist with setting up and manning information tables during the concerts, then helping put it all away following the event.
