Next Square Dance: February 23, 2007 at the Todd Merchantile Building in Todd, NC. Ginny Tobiason and others will be calling dances, and the Laurel Creek String Band and Friends will provide the music. Bring your instruments, as a jam will follow the dancing. The Watauga Arts Council began hosting monthly square dances at Powderhorn Theatre in January 2006. After a year's worth of dances at the Horn in the West facility, a move has been made to Todd, NC in conjunction with Friday night gatherings at the Todd Merchantile. The first Todd dance was held on January 26. The evening had a great community feel, with good food, good conversation, good music, and plenty of dancing. Please come join us for the next dance, and don't forget your dancing shoes!"
