Juried Art Show

Calling all artists in Watauga and adjoining counties!

Watauga Arts Council announces a call for entries for “Memory through, from, was, is, to, and, upon, created . . . Appalachia,” a juried exhibition developed to allow regional artists to compete and display work at the Jones House Community Center main gallery during October 2009. October is one of the most frequented times in this downtown Boone gallery, due to the numbers of visitors to the area during the fall leaf season.

The call for entries is open to all artists 18 years and older who reside in Watauga or adjoining counties. Entries must be original works and created within the past two years. Works may be created in any medium, but must be two-dimensional in orientation, and must not exceed 40 inches in any direction. Pieces must be framed or gallery wrap with hanging wires and ready to hang. Entry deadline is Tuesday, September 1, 2009.
