The Arts Placement Service (APS), an award-winning program of the Watauga Arts Council (WAC). APS provides area artists with a venue for public display and sale of their work in area restaurants and businesses in the greater Watauga County area. 75% of the proceeds from the sale of the art goes directly to the artist, with 25% being reinvested in the programming of the Arts Council. The motto of the Watauga Arts Council is “Making the Arts a Presence in Our Community” and this is one of many programs through which the Arts Council works toward that goal.
