Of Special Note: The mission of the Watauga County Arts Council specifies that we work to serve the Watauga County community, which includes our local artists, of course. We’ve always tried to encourage and feature these local artists and, in fact, we limit many of our programs to only presenting the work of our local artists. We define “local” as an artist who resides for at least some portion of the year in Watauga County or a county which adjoins Watauga County (Ashe, Avery, Wilkes, Caldwell, and Johnson County, TN). All of the artists listed in our artist directory must meet this definition.
