Sumi-e Japanese PaintingMondays, 1-3 pm
During this four week class, you will learn the basics of Japanese watercolor painting. You will create traditional Japanese Sumi-e paintings of bamboo, orchid, plum blossom, Bonsai tree, flowers, and birds. We will also paint the royal flower of Japan, the chrysanthemum. If you are continuing classes from a previous set you will be given additional activities that will align with your level of progression. Youth Makers' StudioFridays 4-5 pm
Youth Makers' Studio gives kids the experience of making products like key chains, tie dye shirts, and more! Students can keep this work or sell it the next day at the Watauga County Farmers' Market.
